Taking seven test wins out of a possible nine on Saturday, the KTM 250 EXC-F racer secured the victory in style to clinch his first-ever EnduroGP World title with a day to spare. Still, the Spaniard had more business to take care of, and that was the Enduro1 Championship, which came down to the season’s final day, Sunday. Garcia again dominated, taking the overall win and the class championship.

“This is a dream come true,” Garcia said after Sunday’s win. “The last two years have been a huge fight between some difficult races and injury, but this moment now is unforgettable, and all the hard work has been worth it. I’ve achieved my dream of becoming EnduroGP World Champion, and we did it on the first day here in France by winning the overall. I was quite surprised at how relaxed I was today [Sunday], and I went through all the tests without a single crash. It was a perfect day, and I think that’s the best way to become a champion—by winning the day. I have to give thanks to the whole Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and of course, my friends and family, too.”

Garcia finished the EnduroGP Championship with 247 points, followed by Honda-mounted Steve Holcombe and GasGas rider Andrea Verona, who tied on 23 points. Holcombe won out on the tiebreaker.

Holcombe was also second in the Enduro1 Championship, and Sherco’s Zach Pichon was third.

GasGas rider Andrea Verona, a double winner in France, had already clinched the Enduro2 title.

Beta’s Brad Freeman cinched the Enduro3 title on Saturday.

Team KBS Sherco’s Rachel Gutish had a spectacular weekend, taking to the top step of the podium on both days in France. The American’s strong performance also secured her position as runner-up in the overall standings—impressive for her debut year in the championship.

“This was definitely one of the most challenging races I’ve ever done, but I think it might be my favorite one of them all!” said Gutish. “France is such a beautiful place to ride, and I couldn’t be happier to have won both days here.”
