In this week’s Throwback we dial back the clock 48 years to 1977 and visit Lombardore, Italy, host to that year’s Italian 500cc Motocross World Championship Grand Prix.

Now we all know about holeshots, but by any standard this second-moto start by Suzuki’s Roger DeCoster is nothing short of phenomenal. You can tell that “The Man” is getting the awesome power of the works Suzuki RN400 to the ground and then some. And Roger went on to win the moto as well.
