The inaugural North American Supermoto Shootout (NASS) event is planned for October 28-29, 2023 at the Oklahoma Motorsports Complex in Norman, Oklahoma.

This shootout event is a partnership between all of the leading regional promoters SMEC Supermoto (East), California’s SupermotoUSA with Cascadia Supermoto(West), Colorado Supermoto (Central) and Supermoto Quebec (Canada).Each partner promoter has successfully held a regional qualifier during their current 2023 seasons allowing those participating in the qualifying classes to earn the required points to participate in the NASS event.

The Oklahoma Motorsports Complex is a 7/10th mile 12 turn sprint circuit that will incorporate a redesigned .4 mile dirt section that will provide exciting racing for competitors and spectators.

March 24, 2023 – SMEC Supermoto, North America’s premiere multi-region Supermoto racing series, is pleased to announce the launch of the 2023 North American Supermoto Shootout.
This shootout event is a partnership between all of the leading regional promoters, California’s SupermotoUSA (West), Colorado Supermoto (Central), Supermoto Quebec (Canada) SMEC Supermoto (East). Each partner will host a qualifying round within their existing calendar allowing riders from each region to earn the minimally required qualifying points to compete in the NASS.

“This is a great thing for the sport of Supermoto and we are excited to be collaborating with promoters who are passionate and truly committed to the progression of the sport.” Says Jay Kliger of SMEC with Fred Wiley adding “This has been a long time coming and we are looking forward to building this program to progress the sport.” Brok McAlister of SupermotoUSA adding “We need to re-ignite the sport and it needs to be done right, we now have a platform to light that fire.” Shaundell Ross with Colorado Supermoto adds, “This is exactly what our sport needs to propel it to the next level, and we are excited to be a part of it.” Ken Armstrong with Supermoto Quebec says, “This new partnership is an amazing opportunity to revive our sport and generate great competition between our groups.”
