Harley-Davidson’s first electric motorcycle, the LiveWire, broke cover in 2019. The Bar and Shield developed the machine for the best part of a decade, originally teasing images of the prototype back in 2013.
Several development models followed and the LiveWire was launched with much fanfare to the public. For two years, the 15.5 kWh battery mated to the Revelation Internal Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor was the only electric motorcycle for Harley-Davidson, who then took the decision to make LiveWire its own brand so smaller capacity models could be made in 2021.
Next in line is the LiveWire S2 Del Mar, scheduled for release in 2023.
