There are very few more emotive motorcycle names than Bimota. The Italian chassis wizards have suffered a tumultuous past, however, last year it was announced that Kawasaki had bought a minority share in the company, furnishing it with fresh funds and giving the Italians access to Kawasaki’s engine line-up.

One thing’s for sure, no one is going to mistake your ride for something else!

The first such child of the Bimota-Kawasaki lovemaking session is the Tesi H2, unveiled at the 2019 EICMA Show in Milan. The TesiH2 utilizes Kawasaki’s plainly bonkers supercharged H2 motor from the H2/H2 SX (not the 300+hp H2R), and utilizes the hub center steering system and Omega chassis the company has championed since 1984, with the first production Tesi coming to market with a Ducati V-twin in 1991.

“Finally, my dream becomes reality,” proclaimed the Tesi H2’s designer, Pierluigi Marconi. “Bimota’s innovative Tesi philosophy has been dramatically enhanced with Kawasaki’s high quality, performance and legendary engineering quality.

Exquisite craftsmanship has been a hallmark of Bimotas for 40 years.

“In addition to various electronic control technologies brought by Kawasaki, the Tesi H2 has a compact chassis that is composed of aluminum parts newly designed by Bimota. The weight of the machine is centered on the engine while the outstanding spread of power is delivered by the supercharged four-cylinder Ninja engine. Hub center steering—which is a feature of Tesi H2 –naturally suppresses the pitching of the motorcycle allowing riders to experience stable, controllable riding.”

Kawasaki’s donation of the powerplant also means the Bimota will be flush all the Kawasaki riding aids in the form of a six-axis IMU, traction control, ABS, launch control, up and down quick shifter, and engine brake control, among others.

The price of the 2020 Bimota Tesi H2 has been unveiled at an eye-watering €64,000 ($75,694) and available to pre-order by clicking right here.
